The following is step by step instructions on saving your special profile to your workstation.
- IT staff or Core Network provides the Profile at the request of the department
- Do not change the name of the profile file given to you it is case sensitive
- Enter in browser http://vpn.fsu.edu
- Enter FSUID and Password
- Select to install the AnyConnect client (skip this step if you’ve already installed Anyconnect)
- The VPN file provided to you by Core networking or IT staff must be saved to your computer at My Computer > C:\ drive >Program Files folder >Cisco Systems folder >VPN Client folder. You should already have a Profile folder (if not, create one making sure the P in Profile is capitalized)>Click to open. Save your new Profile file into the Profile folder.
- Reboot your computer
- Enter http://vpn.fsu.edu/Profilename into browser
- Sign into the VPN
- Enter FSUID and Password
- You are now using your profile name which gives you special permission to access your network resources at work or remotely from home or on the road.
Helpful Hint: If you forget your profile name, look in the Cisco VPN Profile Folder (see #6 above)
