Profile instructions

The following is step by step instructions on saving your special profile to your workstation.

  1. IT staff or Core Network provides the Profile at the request of the department
  2. Do not change the name of the profile file given to you it is case sensitive
  3. Enter in browser  http://vpn.fsu.edu
  4. Enter FSUID and Password
  5. Select to install the AnyConnect client (skip this step if you’ve already installed Anyconnect)
  6. The VPN file provided to you by Core networking or IT staff must be saved to your computer at My Computer > C:\ drive >Program Files folder >Cisco Systems folder >VPN Client folder. You should already have a Profile folder (if not, create one making sure the P in Profile is capitalized)>Click to open. Save your new Profile file into the Profile folder.
  7. Reboot your computer
  8. Enter http://vpn.fsu.edu/Profilename into browser
  9. Sign into the VPN
  10. Enter FSUID and Password
  11. You are now using your profile name which gives you special permission to access your network resources at work or remotely from home or on the road.

Helpful Hint: If you forget your profile name, look in the Cisco VPN Profile Folder (see #6 above)
