Levels of Security:
There are four levels of secure access. Type the url (provided below) into your Browser and enter your FSUID and password.
- Secure General Access: Web Proxy/Java - no software installation needed - http://vpn.fsu.edu.
- More Secure with Profile Access: Install the 'AnyConnect' software. A profile (pcf file) is needed to access specific FSU resources (i.e., departmental local area network, special group, server, web server, printers, network drives, etc.) - http://vpn.fsu.edu/profile.
- Most Secure with Profile Access: Install the Cisco VPN (IPsec) client. A profile (pcf file) is needed for specific FSU resources (i.e., departmental local area network, special group, server, web server, printers, network drives, etc.). For more experienced users - http://vpn.fsu.edu/profile.
- Guest/Vendor Access: You will need a sponsor for this type of access. Once the account is setup, vendors will use “vendorsupport” as their profile name. This type of account may require the user to install VPN (to use SSH or SSL) software so that they are able to get to the FSU resource they are working on at the time.- http://vpn.fsu.edu/vendorsupport.
