So you got yourself an IPhone and joined the mobile generation, one of the most innovative aspects of the IPhone is being able to check your e-mail. Setting up your FSU Email on the IPhone is quite easy and you can be connected in just a couple of minutes by following these steps.
NOTE: you may wish to turn off wifi unless you want to authenticate a wifi connection - for campus, open Safari and put in your FSUID and password. Until you authentic - it will appear as though you have a wifi connection, but you do not.
Step 1) On the main IPhone menu choose the icon called Settings. If you are setting up e-mail for the very first time you can click on the Mail icon and skip to step 4
Step 2) In the Settings menu click on the Mail, Contact, Calendars Option.
Step 3) In the Settings menu click on Add an Account.
Step 4) The next menu asks what type of e-mail account you would like to set up, choose Microsoft Exchange at the top of the list.
Step 5) On the next screen it asks for your initial FSU Email information, enter the information as described below. When you are done click on the save button to store your information.

Step 6) Once you click the Save button it will attempt to connect but it will ultimately fail, returning with an extra field that asks for the server name. In the field enter the address "admin2k.fsu.edu" and click on the Save Button again.
Step 7)If the verification process succeeds after the previous step then it will proceed to the window with syncronization options, you can choose to sync Mail, Contacts, and Calendars from the Exchange server with your Iphone. WARNING: If you already have Contacts and Calendars set up on your iphone syncing could erase what you currently have, so make sure you back up your iphone data before proceeding! By Default only Mail is syncronised so it won't cause any adverse effects to your iphone data.
Step 8) You are done! Click the save button and it will verify your settings and start downloading your e-mail for easy and convienent reading, if you get errors please verify that you are using the correct FSUID username and password.
