Blackberry Internet settings for JES Mail fsu.edu

If you are using the Blackberry Internet Client (BIS) (i.e., alltel.blackberry.net) to access your mailer e-mail, you will need to log in to your BIS account and change the settings: http://alltel.blackberry.com/ - for alltel - check your provider for their BIS url.

Generally your user name is the first initial and your last name. If you forgot your user id and password call Alltel at 1-800-255-8351 or your service provider's number. If you purchased your phone through OTC, we can help you.

You may need to delete your mailer account and begin fresh.

When setting up your mailer account - you will need to enter the wrong information to enable the manual setup page.

Once you have entered the incorrect information, you will get this screen: (choose the second choice - "I will provide the settings to add this e-mail account".

Choose Next and enter your FSU ID and the server address which is imap.fsu.edu -your e-mail address is your FSUID@fsu.edu.

This should be all you need to set up your new JES e-mail successfully with RIM's Blackberry Internet Service (BIS). The settings are this:
